We had the annual MYG Sports Day two Saturdays ago at RJC. Once again, it was time to don our exercise garb for a day of fun in the sun with the residents (well, not really, we weren't in the sun all that much... but it's a catchy phrase :P).
At our first station, the residents used (dry) beans and macaroni to make a "mosaic" heart.
At the next station, we played tug-of-war against another team... and we won! (Well... with a little help here and there from our benevolent volunteers, anyway... heh...)
After that, we really did go out into the bright sunshine for a zig-zag running/tagging game.
We then had a little tea break, during which the residents enjoyed buns and drinks.
The last event of the day was an indoor telematch, followed by a prize-giving ceremony. (Each resident received a little souvenir, so everyone went home a winner!)
After that, the volunteers went to Chomp Chomp in Serangoon for the customary, after-project dinner/outing. Erm... the good thing about going out with (generous) working adults is that they sometimes give you a treat... :)
Well, I certainly didn't go hungry that night. Probably consumed more calories than I lost during the Sports Day events. :P
