MYG Chair Shares

Hi guys... Here is something to ponder about... I totally agree with this, as I myself have been asking the same questions. Unfortunately, society has spawned another breed of people with their materialistic mindsets =/

We should make our own decisions and choose our own paths because we enjoy the journey, and not because the people around us or the society expect us to be.

You may say reality is harsh, but look around you. There are people who live simple lives and yet they are happy.

Even our Mindsville residents. They don't need over $3,000 of monthly paycheck to be happy. All they need is company and love.

Communication matters alot too. If you don't open up and be honest with one another, the person you treasure most might be lost in the process.

Let your heart tell you what to do. We only have one life to live. If you neglect the people who cares about you, you might not get any second chances if they are gone.

Dear friends,

It's been a really long time since I shared something with everyone. Just read this speech by Adrian Tan, apparently his recent convocation speech at NTU. Think that he has captured so well all the finer nuances of life. Don't work. Be hated. Love someone. Isn't it so true that many of us got so caught up with work that we forget to find out what we enjoy doing? How many of us know what we want to do and what we really enjoy? Do we just study something that society says its good for our future or do we dare to study what we really like? Do we choose a job that will give us a comfortable life or do we have the courage to choose one that we feel very passionate about but won't pay too well?

How often do we try to be accommodating when we make certain decisions so that we won't be hated by the people on the receiving end of the decision? How often do we not have the courage to make some decisions because we are concerned about the consequences? Do we not speak up for fear of saying something thats close to our heart but will cause some listeners to dislike you? How often do we face such situations during meetings?Should we close our heart because it has been hurt before? Maybe there's hurt simply because there's love? Should we learn to let go so that we can love again?

Should we stop loving someone because we are tired?Ok, I think I have raised enough questions. Maybe you should read the speech yourself =)
