Haha, this is the long-overdued blog entry... So here goes...
For this year Project C.A.N. 2008, it was held at Choa Chu Kang area. Initially thought of putting photos but I don't know how... So I just summarise in the shortest way possible.
Unlike the previous year, this time round each group got to clear more blocks than before. My group 9 with Pauline as our Group Leader got to clear 12 blocks... (correct me if I am wrong). We divided ourselves in 4 groups per block... Of course, as usual... when we first start our first block, the residents there practised lots of "closed door" policy to us... some of them just simply bo chap to open their doors despite there were sounds of TV/talking in their house.
Soon, things get better, when we collected our very first bag of 10kg rice pack from one generous resident. He even purposely went to buy some biscuits as well too... But we wanted to take photos with him with his generous donation, the resident just politely turned us down. Then as we went from one block to another, our collection of can food and other dry food stuffs increased, and it had really encouraged us alot :)
Anyway, do check out the online album for more information as pictures do say a thousand words... The whole Project C.A.N. collect phase ended around five plus... although we are quite tired and shagged out, but we enjoyed the process alot... the process of giving back to society and helping others in need :)
